Ways We're Connecting With Nature in 2026
Fatimatou – Prendergast Vale I want to stay sustainable and continue being dedicated to this amazing programme. Tabitha – Oasis Shirley Park I want to take more nature walks, appreciate the beauty around me, and pick up litter to help keep the environment clean and fresh. Kari – Bishopshalt I want to spend more time outdoors by going on regular nature walks, watching the birds on the feeders in my garden, planting more trees, flowers, and seeds to encourage wildlife, and doin

Wait… a PPL project turned into an actual thing? 🧵🌊
This time last year, the 2025 Ambassadors had just showcased their projects and were offered the opportunity to transform them into something bigger. One of the projects chosen was made by Aaishah from Sarah Bonnell School. The original project 🌊 Aaishah created a handmade felt storybook showing how pollution affects marine life. Using felt, thread and loads of patience, she brought beaches full of plastic and oceans full of rubbish to life through storytelling. It was play

The Whispering Forest
A Story by Ishika, 2026 Ambassador from Burntwood School For generations, the Whispering Forest was the heart of the valley. Old Oak, the oldest tree, watched over the dancing brooks and the chatter of sparrows. But the nearby city began to grow, and its hunger was insatiable. First, the trees at the edge fell, then the brook turned grey with factory waste. The birds stopped singing, replaced by the humming of bulldozers. One day, a little girl named Elara found a small, with

Our Planets Future
I think the future of our planet should be calm, peaceful and full of nature. If the world continues its wars, then nature will disappear and our lives will never be peaceful. Having a peaceful life is important to thrive. Whenever I go to the countryside and see nature all around me, it makes me feel amazing — and I think everyone should be able to feel that too. I joined Bertha Earth because I love nature. When I was younger (and I still do this now), I used to plant flower

Beyond the Programme: Ambassador Qualities
Even though your time on the Ambassador programme is coming to a close, we still very much consider you Ambassadors for Bertha Earth (as long as you’d like to represent us, of course!). Why not reflect on some of the things you think make a great Ambassador, or take a look at what some of your fellow Ambassadors had to say below? How might you continue to use these qualities beyond the programme to show up for the environment and empower other young people to make a differenc
