Even though your time on the Ambassador programme is coming to a close, we still very much consider you Ambassadors for Bertha Earth (as long as you’d like to represent us, of course!).

Why not reflect on some of the things you think make a great Ambassador, or take a look at what some of your fellow Ambassadors had to say below?

How might you continue to use these qualities beyond the programme to show up for the environment and empower other young people to make a difference?

Let us know here. If you like, we can include your responses in a future post to inspire other Ambassadors — and we might even reach out to see how we can support you!

Committed, thoughtful, someone who takes care of the environment — awareness, mindfulness, focus and dedication.

You need these qualities to make a difference. You need to be committed and actually care for the environment so you can help it. You need to be aware of your surroundings and be educated on what’s happening. You also need to have leadership skills to step up and work as a team when needed to make a difference.”

- Eliza, Graveney

Caring about your surroundings, the environment and nature. We have to care about nature so that both we and nature feel good."

- Mariia, William Perkin

Being a good leader, a great storyteller and a unique changemaker. If you can change the world, then we can all live happily.”

- Dulain, Bishopshalt School

Being active, being connected to Mother Nature, being responsible and having fun. To be an environmental ambassador, you should be ready to take action and move around a lot. If you aren’t connected to nature, then you won’t really feel that urge to help it. If you aren’t responsible, you may accidentally ruin something or be unsuccessful in helping the environment. And finally, you should have fun, as it’s your choice to take part — it’s not like you’re bored or being forced to

- Omia, Central Foundation Girls School

An ambassador should care for nature, make a mark in your area for a better environment, and leave a mark for others to be inspired to make change. I want the future generation to breathe fresh air, feel the breeze, touch fresh water and play on fertile land. This is all that is needed to make a happy and healthy life”.
