To our new 2026/27 Ambassadors: welcome to the Bertha Earth community! 💚

You’re about to start a year full of new people, new ideas, time in nature, creative projects and plenty of chances to try things you might not have done before.

And who better to give you some advice than Ambassadors who have already been through the programme?

Here’s what they want you to know before you get started 👇

💬 Be yourself

“Be yourself, be positive and share your ideas. Try to be with people that aren’t your friends and be a team together!” - Francesca, Graveney School

“Have fun and be yourself.” - Emily, William Perkin

🙋 Speak up

“Don’t be shy to talk or contribute. It’s worth signing up because this experience could not only change your life but others around you.” - Fatimatou, Prendergast Vale

🙌 Get stuck in

“Just have fun and get stuck in. If you do those two things, you will have the best experience possible.” - Oscar, Canterbury Academy

“Make sure you take every opportunity and try to do every trip. You get to be involved in new experiences that can build up your character and teach you ways to take care of your environment. Don’t be afraid to get messy, try new things, make memories and learn important things along the way.” - Aaniya, Burntwood School

🌿 Try something new

Being an Ambassador might sometimes mean stepping outside your comfort zone.

“Face your fears when it comes to nature because nothing will try to hurt you unless you try to hurt it.” - Jiya, William Perkin

“Be accepting of your fellow Ambassadors and just enjoy yourself.” - Student, Bishop Douglass School

💡 Believe in your ideas

“My advice is to enjoy the journey, be creative and try new things. I really enjoyed my butterfly project and learned a lot about nature. Small actions can make a big difference 🦋” - Fatima, Queens Park Community School

“Don’t give up your dreams to make change, even if they seem impossible. Whatever you’re passionate about, there are always people on that journey with you who can provide advice and support. The journey that awaits you is an amazing one, where you overcome challenges, grow closer to fellow Ambassadors and learn more about yourself in the process. Say yes to trying new things while with Bertha Earth. You might discover something you enjoy.” - Kari, Bishopshalt School
